Working in a fully equipped robotics lab with 40 desktop Mac computers, first year students will begin their understanding of robotics while using the Lego EV3 Robot Platform.
Using the EV3 programming software students will learn:

Graphical User Interface (GUI..pronounced “gooey”) Programming

The use and programming of various sensors
-
How to assembly and program their EV3 Robot to overcome numerous challenges presented throughout the year
Students will also compete in several class competitions….such as tug-of-war and Sumobots. In addition first year students will also be introduced to 3D modeling using Blender software.
